Unexpected mice in the room
The hotel's location was perfect-right in the heart of the city. We loved being able to walk to so many attractions within minutes.
Unfortunately, we had a major issue with mice , which spoiled what could have been a fantastic experience.

Location very good, 400m on foot from the central station
The rooms are dark, and small, NO window on it. The furnitures are old and smelly

Generous and enjoyable breakfast for the start of the day with toast, sliced ham plus boiled eggs. Stunning location with the train station near to the hotel. Nearby Brouwerij de Prael - great place to chill out.

It was just a proper fit for a walk in the evening in Amsterdam with real value for money. The breakfast had a nice selection of cold meats and cheeses, a pleasant surprise.

Location is perfect, the market, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, city center, central station, canal tours are walking distance. Rooms are small a bit but clean, receptionists are really helpful and friendly. Honestly, I don't know the stars rating for the hotel, but I would give it two stars and not more.

During my stay, I enjoyed the spacious room, ideal for relaxing after exploring the vibrant streets. The breakfast offered a good variety, perfect for a hearty start. Although the bathroom could use better amenities, daily cleaning kept everything tidy, making my visit comfortable overall.

Central location
Room was a little small and noisy (due to location)

I wanted to be very close to the train station and it is around a three minute walk.
The room was poorly laid out and poorly ventilated, the mattress was old and needed replacing, and the location was seedy.

The price point for the room was fair. Bed was a good size. Location is perfect. Seems quite secure. Hit the mark for a cheap getaway.
The room was pretty crummy and was supposed to be a smoking room, yet when I did, the alarm went off so I had to either smoke out of the window like a naughty child or leave my door open which was even less desireable, particualrly for non smokers using the stairwell. The window itself was like a cat flap (I kid you not) so barely aired the room. My room was more 2* than 3*. Far less modern than I expected after all this time. Should invest in some nicer towels. Got what I paid for.

The fact that although it was an old building in the centre of old Amsterdam on the edge of the Red Light District, unlike most such hotels it had been thoroughly modernised inside and, wonder of wonders, actually had a lift!
